Normal Service will be resumed
Well, have moved from West Galway to West Africa. Will be based in Conakry, Guinea for quite a while, obviously blogging about the garden while being 6000km south of the actual garden ain't going to work - but will see what i can do
Have a look round and see how people grow veg there. My wife's from Sierra Leone, further down the coast. People there have 'swamps', the local term for rice paddies, but the term has a wider usage than that; they grow all sorts. Google Earth shows all sorts of interesting plots round the city.
My only contact with Conakry has been when my girls were there briefly in the process of being evacuated from the civil war, but I bet they do something similar if you look for it.
