Hi, my name is Simon and I am living in Connemara.
This year I decided to do a kitchen garden here in Carna, out in the west - and it has not been easy, but it has been rewarding so far.
Rather than do the traditional ridge system I decided to do a raised bed system, based on advice from mostly English gardeners, and tried to plant heritage or unusual varieties where I could.
It has been a long time since I tried to grow veg here in Connemara, so I hope you enjoy reading he meanderings and wish me luck
